This 1978 Porsche 911SC coupe was purchased new by the seller’s father-in-law at Neufeld Porsche-Audi of Burlingame, California, and it was acquired by the seller’s spouse in 1994. Now showing 129k miles, the car is finished in silver over black leather. Fuchs 16″ wheels with black-finished centers are wrapped in 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors, and the front and rear brake lines were replaced in March 2025.
The front bucket seats and the rear seats are trimmed in black leather. The color-coordinated dashboard houses heater controls and an Alpine CD stereo, and the car is equipped with cruise control and power windows. The seller notes a tear in the right-rear section of the headliner as well as a crack in the top of the dashboard.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline in addition to a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 129k miles.
The 3.0-liter flat-six is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that the engine was rebuilt circa October 2014, at which time a valve job was carried out and the case studs were replaced. Replacement engine mounts were installed in 2023, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
